T&Ps for my boss's son

My boss has noticed her son has been really tired and sleeping a lot lately.  She thought that maybe he needed some vitamins, or that maybe it was a growth spurt.  It went on for over a month, so she took him in for a check up.  They ran blood tests, and then immediately sent him to Children's without telling her why.  When they got there, she was told that his kidneys never developed.  He is in kidney failure, and they just started him on dialysis.  They are putting him on a transplant list.  She is beating herself up about it.  She thinks she should have known, but the doctors said that there is no real way to know something like that.  They said he wouldn't have made it to the weekend if she hadn't brought him in.
