OCD ?

My cousin is suffering from OCD. He washes his hands non-stop and refushes to touch anyone or anything. The problem is his parents have no insurance and they actual think this is all a joke. I'm really concerned and want to help. Are there any programs out there that can help?He has no insurance so just don't know how to go about all of this.

    He is 15.Yes he does want help, but his parents don't think OCD is really a problem.  I'm just so concerned for him bc his parents like I said think he can help it. They don't understand. They took the soap out of the bathrooms and I'm not sure that is the right way to go about it. I'm trying to get as much info. as I can.

    Wondering if he could qualify for Medicaid insurance and if he can fill forms out on his own at 15???? Maybe that step would show mom & dad he at least deserves a ride to the office of whatever professional he chooses to get him some help. This post makes me really sad :(

    It is sad and this is why I really want to help. I love him to pieces and don't want anything to happen to him. I was going to try and get as much info. and books so I could drop them off to his parents. They probably won't/want to read them. They are so consumed in their own things. I also am looking to any resources that in the area that help with this. I'm doing my best because I want to help him and have him know that some one cares. Thanks so much for all the advice.

    may need to start by having the parents sit down with a counselor or something to help them understand that this is serious and not a joke. if they realize that, then maybe they will be more willing to help out.
