Back to Work update

I've survived my first two days back to work.  The days have been going really fast.  Benji's doing okay at daycare, not crying to much but he is having a hard time with the bottle.  The teachers say it takes him a long time and winds up spilling most of it out.  Today, he drank a total of 7oz in 2 feedings.  I picked him up at 3pm and nursed him as soon as we got home. 

I'm not sure what to do about the transition from breast to bottle, I guess be patient.  I don't really remember how E&C did with the transition, don't remember having any concerns. Other than that, he's adjusting well.  The teachers are all really nice and professional. 

 I'm exhausted...anyways, thanks to everyone who wished me well.  Going back to work is difficult and its nice to know I'm not alone in this.  I'm off to spend time with the kiddies before bedtime!

    Thanks for the update!  I'm glad he's adjusting well to the daycare, if having some challenge with the bottle.  But he's drinking!  That's a good start.  Hopefully he'll take more as the days go on. And glad to hear that work is going okay for you.

    I was wondering how your first few days back at work were going, glad you updated! Don't have any advice re the bottle but I hope he gets it all straightened out soon.  Hopefully you can get some rest :)

    Awww! Im glad you are having a good first few days back at work! I am sure your little guy will get used to the bottle after a while. Its something new and not as appealing as mommy so he is probably just being stubborn. As long as he drinks a little more each day you are doing good!

    I'm glad you're doing well and that the adjustment hasn't been too rough so far. It's the best feeling when your work day goes back fast :)

    Have you considered experimenting w/ different bottles to see if there's maybe another style that he'll take more easily? I got lucky and my DD took both types of bottles I introduced to her right away. Maybe it's just coincidence and I happened to pick ones she liked, or maybe she's just not a picky baby and would have accepted whatever I gave her. When I first transitioned her from breast to bottle, I used these Nuby ones: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3372773 and then when I went back to work, I switched her to Born Free because I had more of those. Both those brands are specially advertised to be made for breastfeeding babies to more closely match the shape and feel of the breast.

    Aw, I'm glad your first few days back went ok! Thanks for the update, I was hoping that everything was going smoothly. I don't have advice about the bottle/breast problem, but I hope it gets better and that B starts getting used to it!

    I'm glad to hear the transition back to work is going well.  Hopefully, the tranisition from BFing to bottle improves for B!

    Thanks ladies!  I'm checking in from work (jeje).  My boss couldn't wait for me to get back - I have TONS of work that are making these days fly by.  Monday, I did express in the bathrom (two different people came in, to poop while I was there LOL! ) So, I told my boss, and she is actually going to purchase me a room divider for privacy so I can express milk in the office and/or use the conference room when available.  everyone has been really supportive, I was soo concerned about that. 

    We'll see how Benji is doing when i pick him up in a little bit.  But Jen, thanks for the suggestion...I may try another bottle brand  Thanks again everyone!

    That's awesome that your boss is going to get you a room divider!  Sorry you had to endure the poop, but it turned out to help you get some better privacy.  Hope the divider arrives soon.  Glad to hear that others have been supportive.
