getting a red light camera ticket. Crying

We have about 5 of these in town and i was stuck behind a really slow car and in front of an impatient driver. 

I had two options:
1. Slam on my brakes and probably get rear-ended by the yahoo behind me.
2. Speed up and risk not making it through before the light turns red.

I chose the latter. I made it most of the way through the intersection but as I looked up the light turned red. If it wasn't for LO I would have just let the guy behind me hit me because he was being such a jackass. 

Good thing is I didn't see the camera flash, so there's a possibility I made it, but now I just have to wait and see...

    I bet you'll be ok.  We have a lot of those around us, too, and from what I hear, as long as you are past the line before it changes to red, you should be safe.  So, if you didn't see the flash, and it turned red after you crossed into the intersection, hopefully you'll have avoided this one!  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you :)  Oh, and I seriously hate those lights!

    You're probably okay.  You would have noticed a flash and if you entered the intersection before it turned red I think that's okay.  GL!

    in FL you only get a ticket if you enter the intersection after the light has turned red.

    If not, I would have a bajillion tickets. You're fine!

    I hope you didn't get one! I'd bet your okay if you didn't see the camera flash.

    I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't get the ticket. If not you could appeal it right?

    Ugh, I hate those!  I had one recently for not making a complete enough stop at a red light in the middle of the night, before I realized the cameras were there :( 

    It was quite expensive, but wasn't considered a moving vehicle violation and no points on the liscense, thank god.
