Seriously! I've tried several different kinds and none of them stay on for more then 5 minutes! Anyone have any tips, tricks or brands to recommend? It drives me crazy!

Try different brands. JCP stay on my kids the best at the younger age then I switch to ON. They have some random socks here and there. But they do the best for us. Just try some different brands. The super heavy Carters ones dont do anything for my kids.
Have you tried folding down the tops so that the cinch a bit more on the legs? Other than that I just put DD in socks that aren;t too big so she can't kick them off nearly as fast. They usually stay on for at least 30 minutes with the tops folded down and then I just pull them back up every 30 minutes or so...
One night she managed to keep them on the entire 8 hours! She must have been seriously tired to not have twitched them off after that long....
babies r us has "booty socks" in a six pack that are truly the ONLY ones that stay on. They look like the ones in this pic, but I can't vouch for these- I just couldn't find a pic of the actual ones bRu sells:
The brand trumpett too stays on dd really well. (they are a 3 pack that comes in a plastic box, I've seen them at Target). Also, bb basic from bru/tru stays on her really, after that it's hopeless.
I bought some Hanes socks at Target that work fine, and also I got some plain white ones, not sure of the brand on those. They NEVER come off. The cutesy little fuzzy carters ones I can't get to stay on him though.

I have some that look like shoes and I have no problem with them coming off. I have also used baby legs with the larger socks and they do a great job keeping them on. My babylegs are blue and black
The ONLY socks that stay on his feet are the ones that are really long and fold down. They are circo brand 0-6 months and I got them on clearance at target. The ones taht are shorter like ankle socks just fall right off.
anyone use baby legs on boys? DH immediately nixed the idea but I'm seriously enthralled by them.
I will when he fits into them. Right now they just look ridiculous because they are all scrunchy. DH can dress him in whatever he wants when HE dresses him. But when I dress him then I am going to use babylegs. I think they are so cute especially with a cloth diaper and a t-shirt.
Yeah, I have pretty much given up on them. I have one pair of socks for lo that actually never come off. I don't know what brand they are, but they have a little bear on them and are white and brown.
Re: Baby socks suck!
These are awesome! They are the only ones that I can get to stay on.
Socks
They come in tons of styles and colors!
I haven't because my DH agrees with yours.

These are what works for us when they are young!
bought them cause they look like little man socks, but they don't fall off.
