So I met with my RE for the first time yesterday and absolutely love her. That being said, we are going through some additional testing and starting injections once the tests are complete. We can cycle a few months of timed intercourse and i that doesn't work, its off to IUI. I never thought that I would need to consider IUI, but I'm pretty sure no one does. Any IUI successes? Pros/cons/opinions? TIA!
Got pg on my second IUI+clomid+ovidrel cycle. One advice I would say would be to do the trigger shot. That helped time my IUIs almost perfectly. Good luck to you!! hopefully you wont need it though
I have done a few IUI's 1 with just clomid BFN 1 with Follistim and Clomid BFN and 1 IVF BFN We are considering going back to IUI due to the expense of IVF (not covered by insurance) because IUI is covered at 50% now and we have a credit at the office from our failed IVF cycle.. It is nice to see all of these success stories.. Good Luck to you on your attempts and hopefully you won't need IUI.
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences everyone. This board is such an invaluable resource in terms of information and support. Lots of luck to all of us...its our time!!!!!
Re: IUI Ladies
God that gives me hope since we can only afford one. What kind of cycle was it? Clomid or injects?
I tired it once in November, it didn't hurt or anything but since it wasn't monitored, I don't know what we had to work with.
I will be doing one this next cycle if my lining and follies look good.
