washing clean diapers - how many in the load?

so i know when you're washing dirty diapers you don't want to put in a big load but still want to use the highest water setting so there's plenty of room and water and all that - but i'm just running them through a wash cycle before the first use because i'm washing everything and they were used and even though they're clean, etc etc etc.

SO - do you think it's okay in this instance to perhaps load the washer more than i would if they were dirty?

  • Regardless you won't want to over load your washer but I think you should be fine to put the same amount you normally would for clothing.  Just make sure you do an extra rise to be sure there was enough water to get all the soap out.

oh good call - i totally would have forgotten about the extra rinse.  eek!  i've been sooo afraid to do the wash on my CDs convinced that i will screw them up from the get-go!

  • I can do about 20 in my washer.  Then after my first quick wash I throw in my LOs clothes and do a normal wash with extra water, and extra rinse.  Everything comes out squeaky clean.
