Moms who supplement...just curious

So I've read that BM and formula have very different tastes.  Does your LO prefer one over the other?  In other words, does LO drink one bottle a little bit faster than the other?  This is probably silly, but I'm just curious.  This is not to start drama or offend anyone.

    K makes faces when he first tastes formula.  It takes much longer for him to drink a bottle of formula.  If I pump a bottle of BM he gobbles it up!!!

    BM is supposedly much sweeter than formula, so the LO's generally like the taste of it better.

     We've supplemented with formula since he was a week old.  I've been pumping, but am weaning off because I have a good freezer stash.  DS gets frozen BM, fresh BM, and formula every day and no, he doesn't seem to notice.  I also changed formulas and it didn't phase him one bit.

    My DD couldn't care less!  As long as it's warm she'll drink whatever I put in the bottle (not that I put random stuff in there).  Smile

    DD never noticed a difference in BM vs. Similac Isomil or whatever it is. But she kept spitting up Enfamil. Still, she didn't seem to care one way or another what was coming out of the bottle.

    He didn't seem to notice a difference, except in the very beginng. It took several days for me to pump any milk out, so he'd been on formula 100% that whole time. When I finally did make him a bottle of milk, he drank it very slowly.

    I always thought he smelled different if he had several formula bottles in a row vs several bottles of BM in a row. Also, the formula spit up is so much grosser to me.

    LO makes a stinky face with the formula, but then she gobbles it up so she must not care that much! we've given her 4 bottles of formula so far, and she's drank them all just fine. But she clearly prefers the BM.
