Spot on DS's penis - really odd

Yesterday I noticed a strange white spot, almost like a small pimple on DS's penis where the head meets the shaft. It didn't seem harmful so I just kept an eye on it. Last night it looked different, like something just under the skin and poking out a little, almost like a large splinter but white. It did not look like pus or a blister or anything like that. I was going to call the pedi but today it was gone, and all that's left is this little tiny hole. I'm very confused. I've never seen anything like this. Any ideas? I swear I'm not making this up.

  • Could be just a "zit". But i'd still call the pedi...it's too important of an area to guess.

  • Is he circumcised?  DS gets these from time to time and it's dead skin that has collected in there and is working its way out.  As long as it doesn't seem to be causing pain, it's not a problem.  (At least, that's what my pedi told me).

I thought this too until last night. It just looked like a little solid piece of plastic or something poking right out of that tiny hole. You think I should still call even though it's gone and aeems fine now?

It can happen if they are circed or not.  Try using a washcloth on the area after he has soaked in the tub for a bit if it happens again.  It has happened once or twice to B and that gets it right off.
