Any hotel/condo recs for Siesta Key?

My family (12 adults, 2 tweens, and a toddler) is thinking of heading to Siesta Key for a couple of days this summer.  Can someone recomend a family friendly hotel/condo?  Also, any restaurant or sites we shouldn't miss?

 Thanks!!!

  • When we've gone in the past we have stayed at Midnight Cove and never had any complaints about it. Def. check out Armand's Aquare (or something like that). Its a little shopping area with tons of restaurants and stuff. Have fun!

  • OH, my favorite topic.  : )

Most condos require weekly rentals.  The Palm Bay Club offers daily rentals, and is very nice!  They come fully equipped.  I'd recommend staying in the Tower, which is closest to the water... otherwise, the hike may be a little much, especially carrying w/ a toddler and all his/her equipment.

Restaurants - Broken Egg is awesome for breakfast!  So is Cafe Continental.  Both are located in the downtown area, about a 5 min drive.  Daquari Deck is good for lunch and frozen drinks at night.  Sugar and Spice (about 20 min drive) is a great Amish restaurant... but get there early for their great pies (they run out).  Fillipi Creek (10 min drive) is also very nice... it is a great seafood restaurant by the water.

Keep in mind, all the above mentioned are very casual!  Most of the places in Siesta Key are... shorts and colar shirts for men are OK.

Oh, and you can't miss St Armand's Circle.  It is similar to a CocoWalk, with cute restaurants, shops and lots of ice cream parlors.  A nice evening out, or great place for the women to go shopping.  : )
