taking BM out?

I keep reading that many of you bring a cooler to keep the bm cold when you go out.  I have been doing it somewhat differently and now worried, I take the refrigerated BM and put it directly into my diaper bag without a cooler.  It is so cold that it takes time for it to get to be room temp anyways, so by the time DD is ready for it, it is the right temp.  Sometimes it stays cool, it might be my diaper bag?  I can understand using a cooler if you will be out mroe than 8 hours, but what about just a fwe hours?  TIA

    I don't take a cooler with us unless the BM is going to be out for 4+ hours, or unless I know I'm going to have to leave some in the car for some reason while I go inside.

    I do it how you do it. BM is good at room temp for up to 6 hours. If it will be longer than that I use a cooler.

    I do the same thing you do. My diaper bag has that type of material lunch bags do that keep it cool. Usually it is still pretty cool after a couple of hours. I dont think you have much to worry about. Like you said, you dont have it sitting out for 8 hours.
