How much does your LO eat when they get a bottle?
I'm getting ready to start work next week even though Turtle still fights a bottle. We've gotten him to at least accept a bottle being manually feed into his mouth. he won't suck it so we just squirt it in slowly. We've even just tried a sippy but it runs to fast.
Anyway, my struggle is how much to prepare in each bottle. I've typically done 3-5oz each time, I think for the most part he takes 3-4oz. But I;m not sure if it's because he's really hungry or he just takes it because he's being fed it. I'm guessing right now 3-4 oz would suffice. Y'know I want to be pretty accurate since you know you don't want to waste a single ounce.
Also, how often does your LO take a bottle? 3 hours? 4 hours?
Re: Pumping moms how much? how often?
Thanks, and special thanks to your link in the siggy. I was reading a post below and it caught my eye right away.
The Pumpmaster to the rescue! LOL!!! I found it to be a good resource.
for daycare I send 3 5 oz bottles, C is there for about 8 - 8 1/2 hrs... originally I was sending 4 4oz bottles, but one would always come home and they asked for more. He typically eats every 3 hours (of course adjusted for his length of naps.
Daycare also suggested to get the tommy tippee bottles because they are more realistic like for the nipple. (C already took bottles fine when he entered - but I think getting the bottle from someone new was a different experience for him). GL
