OMG he's sleeping without the swaddle!!

Charlie has been swaddled since the day he was born. He always seemed to like it and be soothed by it, but lately it doesn't seem to be working as well. He hasn't been relaxing like he used to as soon as he was wrapped up, and he was constantly breaking out of the miracle blanket and the "escape proof" swaddle, causing him to wake up.

We had half-halfheartedly tried to wean him from it awhile ago, and it went nowhere. Today though, I was like "ok, we really need to try again because I think it might be making his sleep worse instead of better!" I really thought it was going to be a nightmare though, and conveniently decided that I "needed" to go pick up some job applications while DH handled bedtime, lol. I nursed him and put him down, but he woke right up and was playing in there when I left.

Well I just got back, and you guys - he is asleep! PLUS DH said that he never made a single peep!! It's like a miracle! I can't believe it! I guess he was really ready this time, and honestly I think he may have been ready for a couple weeks - it was DH and I that were clinging to the swaddle, lol. If he STTN finally tonight, I don't know if I'll laugh or cry
