oh my, i'm in a panic

so lil v will be five months on May 7th.  tonight, she officially got up on her hands and knees, rocked a bit, and then moved her knees a bit (followed by a face plant).  I posted video on facebook, thinking...awww..cute, and moms posted back (including CJ) saying I have DAYS...DAYS! until she really goes for it.  Is this true?  How long between this and crawling for your LO?  She's not even really sittign up on her own yet (although she can tripod for a bit, but she gets easily distracted).

    DS was getting on his hands and knees right before 6 months and he didn't start actually crawling until 8 months.  He was scooting everywhere at probably 7 months.

    It could be days, or it could be months. No way to know. Camy has been just on the brink of crawling for almost 2 months now. She can scoot backwards {and is getting pretty quick!}, roll anywhere she wants to go, and scoot across the floor on her butt -- but no crawling. She is still at a pace that I can easily keep up with so I am trying to enjoy this not-so-mobile days while they last. ;)

    I think Anderson rocked on all 4s for a few months before crawling.

    I was forsure that she was going to crawl in January and didn't really get going until Easter Weekend.

    LOL maybe my kid was just highly motivated to get the hell away from me...

    I dunno A, I'm still thinkin' she's gonna be crawling really soon!  That looked way too skilled... Surprise

    It took Meredith a while. I can't remember how long. Alex can get his knees up under him, but he's not crawling yet. He prefers a combination of rolling, scooting and pivoting on his belly right now. He's just mobile enough to get enough trouble, but not so mobile that I have to panic about everything on the floor.
