When did he/she start enjoying it? Or even just not screaming through the whole thing. I always feel so bad, ds cries the entire time, he knows its coming now and starts crying before I even get him in.
My little guy started to like it after we stopped sponge baths. The key for us is that it is warm in there. I have a small space heater that I turn on, and we put a sponge thing in the bathtub that he lays on and fill the a few inches. That keeps the bottom half of him in the water and warm.
Something else that he LOVES, but I don't usually actually wash him in, is the bath pod. Sounds weird and looks weird, but he 100% loves it. It keeps him more in the water and I think is supposed to be more like the womb. He grins and laughs the whole time. You can wash him in it, but it would be easier if he completely had control of his head.
Have you tried him in the tub with you? Parker fusses a bit in his baby bath but today he took one with me and was just fine until it was time to get out out. Then he screamed, I assume because he was cold. Keeping warm has proven to be key.
We have the Tummy Tub and DS loves his baths. He doesnt ever cry. He actually has never cried in the tub. He will cry getting in and out because he is cold. But never in the tub itself. I think he likes it because it keeps his whole body covered in water so he is warm. He also likes to try and stand up in the tub.
My LO only cries in the tub if the water is too cold for him. If that is the case, we take him out for a second and run hot water in the tub and put him back in. After that, he is fine.
Re: If your lo likes bathtime...
