Yes, I have over 6 months to decide this. But, I am bored and I want to think about this now.
I have two guest rooms. One is in the front and has a large window which is shaded in part by a big, pretty tree. This is the sunnier of the two rooms and I think is prettier.
The other room is identical in size and closet space but has a window half the size. It is a pretty dark room.
Both rooms are equal distance from the master. One is dark and one is bright.
Which one would you choose, or, does it even matter?
Re: Which room for baby nursery?
BACK!
As you know, we have a similar set up. We chose the sunny room with the pretty treed view as the nursery for Anderson. Um, no. It's too bright and every time the garbage truck/a motorcycle/a stray cat goes by, it wakes him up. The big window also = really steaming hot in the summer. Vivian got the room I originally thought was less desirable (facing back, smaller window, no view) and it's way better. It stays darker and cooler and it's much quieter not facing the street.
Go for the back room, imo.

That's one for front, one for back.
I forgot to mention both rooms have plantation shutters, so they are both good window cover to some extent. But, the back room is def darker.
Another vote for darker/back of the house room. I appreciate that DS's room is fairly quiet b/c it's off the street & it's nice to have it be pretty dark during the day - naps are easier.
Ditto this!
i'm not a mom, but I would do the darker/quieter room for the nursery and then you could move him/her to the brighter/prettier room when they're ready for a big-kid room? one that they would actually play in, look out the window, etc.
if you keep the non-nursery room as a guest room, I'm sure the adults would notice and appreciate the pretty view/light more than an infant would.

this was my thought, too.
Yes, I have two very loud dogs. Although, if they keep jumping on me in my sleep I'll have two very quiet stuffed dogs, so they problem may be taken care of by the time the Minip gets here.
Well then, problem solved!
However, I did notice that DD still doesn't react to the dog barking (either awake or sleeping). I think it's because she heard it so much in utero.
this!
