You asked how to word it when you want people to bring signed children's books to a shower...this is what I put on the Evite:

 

If you would like to help build Persia's library, please bring a children's book in lieu of a card.  Sign the inside of the book, so Ghazaleh and Persia will think of you everytime they read it!
