How soon did you go out?

How soon did you leave LO with someone and go out? We've had our in-laws and my mom watch the girls a couple of times, but I always insist on being home by 8 so we can put them to bed. DH is starting to get really frustrated that I won't stay a little later, but I just don't feel ready. Am I being unreasonable? We are both in a wedding in two weeks, so that weekend is kind of what I've been thinking of as the point we will miss their bedtime both nights, but until then I want to put them to bed. To be fair, he's not asking me to like go out all night or anything, but he wants to go to dinner with some friends this week and we would probably be out until 10. I know I should, I'm just having a hard time saying yes.

My in laws decided DH and I needed a night out so they took Jack for an overnight this past Friday. It was nice to get out but I missed the little guy!

Don't feel bad about going out! Go and enjoy yourself!

DD was born 3/23. My b-day was 4/15. We went out to celebrate on 4/18 and my MIL kept DD from 2pm til 6pm. Totally doable. You should go and enjoy yourself, you deserve a break!

We left him one afternoon with my Mom at our house for a couple hours. DH and I had lunch and ran some errands - super romantic! I'm hoping that we'll get out to dinner sometime soon. I'm EBF and he's been having tantrums with bottles the last week so I'm not sure when we'll be able to leave...

We went to see a movie for Valentine's Day and left him with my mom. He was like 3 weeks old at that point. Unfortunately I didn't leave enough pumped milk so he was crying much of the time. I also went out recently with a friend and left him home with his daddy from 6-10:30 or so. That went much better since there was a lot more milk available.
