  • Just read your OP.  Honestly, I would mention that to his doc if I were you.

  • I just got to your op. I think it's normal. My ds doesn't do what you described but he does a sucking in, fake choking thing that scares the crap out me, and then he laughs. Kids are weird and like to experiment with their bodies. I wouldn't be worried unless he turned blue or started wheezing or sething like that.
  • I would call your pedi just to double check.  he could just be discovering his breath and what not but I'd check to be sure.
  • I actually have a friend that did this when she was little and was upset with her mom. The doctor told her to open the freezer and 'stick' her head in there because it would force her to breath.  The doctor also told her that it was completely normal and other kids do it too.  My friend did it because she knew her mother would get upset.  GL

HA HA... I hope he does not do this to me when he is older and figure out these kind of things. although he is a "genius" in my eyes I know he is not sophisticated enough to do this for manipulation (yet)

We see he Pedi for our 2y check up so if he is stillllll (ugh) doing this I am gonna ask about it. I hope it's nothing but weirdo behavior and not something w/ his allergies. it really seems like he "forgets" to breathe

  • ohh and he is never mad when this happens, he is just straight chilling watching some TV (loves GYY and Monster Trucks) or is just sitting w/ me relaxing.
