2nd Trimester

I suck a little.

I can't really tell if I can feel LO kicking on the outside. I swear I feel it but then nobody else does. Makes me think I'm trying to make people feel my gas movements or my own heart beat. (Anyone ever feel that one on your tummy yet?)

Re: I suck a little.

  • I finally was able to have DH feel the baby move on Saturday night :)

  • My heartbeat can be felt through my tummy, and it is STRONG.  DH couldn't feel LO for the longest because my heartbeat would always throw him off.  But as long as your feeling LO on the inside, it's only a matter of time til you KNOW your feeling the outside kicks :)

I could feel it on the outside for a solid week before DH could - so I think you are getting close to the point where others could feel.

It was easier for me to identify b/c I knew exactly where it would be and when it was happening.

  • I feel bad for my DH I get him all worked up and he puts his hand on my tummy for minutes at a time and... nothing.

i always feel my pulse on my belly... do you have an anterior placenta? i do, and i always think that's what i'm feeling.

Kate stops kicking when DH puts his hand on my belly - it takes a while for him to catch a kick since she is so stubborn.

That's a great question. I haven't heard anything during an U/S but then again I wasn't exactly thrilled with my experience with my U/S. Even at the "big" u/s I felt like it was just ok, there is the baby, it's head, feet, legs, it's a girl, ok BYE.

  • don't feel too bad. I feel movement but I haven't felt a strong kick. And definitely haven't felt anything from the outside. DH really wants to feel it, i just say "when I do, you will shortly after."

But you are right, sometimes i'm like ooh that was a kick and then a minute or so later i'll fart and be like, oops.. guess it was just gas. I so wish I knew what i was feeling. People say, you will definitely know when it happens so I am just waiting and hoping it will happen very soon!!

Mine too......he can have his hand on my belly for an hour and NOTHING. As soon as he takes it off, she starts moving:)
