I feel like my Medela PIS pump has been a ball and chain to me ever since I went back to work. I stopped pumping earlier this week and yesterday I wiped it all down, packed it up with all of the attachments plus the small Medela bottles, nipples, and all the old pacifiers that K never really took to, and I put it away in the attic.
I felt like dancing afterward. In the hall. By myself.
Either that, or taking the pump out to a field and kicking the cr*p out of it. If any of you have ever seen the movie Office Space, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
I feel liberated!
Re: YES! Kicking the breastpump to the curb...
LOL, at Office Space!! That's great that you kicked the pump to the curb.
The Baby Blog.
I am getting close! I am so happy for you!
I have seriously considered burning my nursing bra
natural m/c and d&c at 10 weeks - 1/24/2014
DX w/ hetero C677t and A1298C MTHFR - 3/4/2014
I loved that moment! It was such a huge accomplishment for me to EBF for one full year.
I was a little sad at the prospect of fully weaning - but really when it happened, I wasn't sad at all...NO TEARS. It was awesome.
I need to do this also, I have 2 Victoria's Secret gift cards that I got at my lingerie shower 2 years ago! I think it's time to put them to use.
Wait a few weeks when you're completely done from nursing all together... My bbs went from a D pre-pg to a C post nursing
LOL liberated is how I felt when I was done nursing/pumping. I was sad at first but after a year, it was nice to be done.
