Our daycare puts up the parent's list of instructions on the door to the infant room so that any worker who goes in there will be able to provide basic care to any of the infants. Every one else list is pretty short like maybe 3-4 lines. Ours is almost a entire freaking page. They've added a few lines of their own notes as to what works best for them...but I swore to myself that I would not be THAT mom. The one who is so controlling of their child. I read through it today because I needed to add to her saline drops and boogie sucker to her list. Everything I have put on her care instructions is necessary (I think) to maintain her happiness, health, etc...
Gas and what works best to move it along
reflux - and her meds
Choking on Spit-up in her sleep - so sleeps on the incline that I provide
congestion - saline drops and boogie sucker. (I think she got my allergies which in a way is good because when I feel them coming I can start doing the saline drops often to catch them early)
how much and when to burp (every 1-2 ounces and attempt to burp for 5 minutes or until she burps - because she is super sensitive to air bubbles)
Her formula has probiotics in it and can't be microwaved
Formula has to be stirred not shaken (due to air bubbles)
Plus their notes on which swing/bouncer/toys/mobile she likes
and tummy time which I just added today and she has a tendency to bury her nose in the boppy and not lift her head and I wanted them to know that so they wouldn't walk away from her yet during tummy time
The only other child who has a longer note than the other infants has asthma I think and uses a nebulizer so those instructions take up half a page. I feel horrified that I've become that kind of mom but really don't see any way to change that at this point. Like I said everything on the list is something that needs to be done for her..right? Is there something that doesn't need to be up there? I just feel kind of embarrassed about it.....Thanks for letting me get it out...
