Bridesmaid Dress Size

Hi! I am standing in a wedding Labor Day weekend, which I will be 24 weeks then. The bride wants us to order dresses now and I have no idea what size I will be then. The dress she wants us to order online from Bloomingdales (which we do not have around here). I'm usually a size small or size 4. The dresses come in S, M, L and it's not a form fitted dress, a little blousy with a tie around the waist. . I know everyone is different in terms of belly size, but I have no idea how big 6 months is?!?! Any help is appreciated! image

    shoot, i would have suggested going to the store to try it on and asking the salesperson... i am in a wedding in two weeks and i just got my dress, and it was a pain. it was really helpful to have someone who could help me. pre-pregnancy i was a 4 and my dress is a 14.

    i would go big, because it's easier to take out than let in... but i have no idea how big if the dress is loose like that. i was supposed to wear a satin sheath but the bride let me get a ball gown instead, thank god! good luck! do they list a range of sizes so you can compare an m or an l to a regular size?

    My advice is you can always get it taken in, but you can't let it out! So get a big size and if they need to add a little more to one area there is enough!

    Any chance you can ask the bride to let you order a maternity dress in a similar color?

    I'd talk to a seamstress and find out if it will be ok to get the L (to be safe) and have it taken in where need be.

    I'm in a wedding at the end of May and our dresses are from Davids Bridal.  The bride wanted us to order our dresses 6 months ago! I explained to her that we were trying to get pregnant and would rather wait til the last possible minute. Long story short, I ordered my dress last month ( 4 sizes to big) and it came in after only  3 weeks!!!  I would ask the dress store how long it typically takes for them to come in and order it closer to the wedding.

    My 24 week pic is in my siggy. I can't see the picture of the dress, so no telling what size you should get. Just keep in mind that it's easier to make a dress smaller, so get bigger than you would need. (Your boobs will probably also grow, don't forget that one)

    i am in a wedding in June, i am 23 weeks now, i just ordered my bridesmaid dress and i would say go a size or two bigger than u would normally wear. thats what i had to do. as well and i took measurements myself so i knew what size to do.

    i'm in a wedding next month (at 7 months), and i had to order my dress way early and way big. pre-preg i was a size 2, and they advised me to just order a size 12 and then have it taken in.

    I'm in wedding 6 weeks after i give birth. I can't even imagine what size to get.
