The horses were struck by lightning.

DH is leaving the farm now. They were 25, 28, and 5 years old. The youngest horse didn't belong to our friends, but was staying at the farm.

They found them all laying down under a tree, where I guess they were huddled together. My friends mom is beside herself, of course. They loved those horses so much. They were really involved with them, and they did the Equestrian Special Olympics every year.

They have two more horses that survived. Please keep them in your thoughts.
