I just started pumping and it seems like it takes forever. Also, can you conitnue to add milk to a bottle that you have been storing in the fridge for the day in between sessions?
I get 4 oz. in 15 mins, but I pump every day, all do. Yes, you can add milk in, but always go by the date the first set of milk was stored in the fridge.

10-15 minutes. I try to pump about an hour after feeding, and will get 4-5 oz in that time. I was told by my nurse that it's fine to combine freshly pumped with refrigerated, and then use the date of the oldest pumped milk to judge how long it's good for.
In the morning after the first feeding, I can get 4oz in about 5 minutes. Any other time of day to replace a feeding, sometimes it takes about 15 minutes, and I BARELY get 4oz.
I do add milk to a bottle that is stored in the fridge, because I like to freeze in 4oz bags.
wow my boobs must work overtime... No matter what time I pump I get 6+ oz in 5 min or less. I usually just get out 6 and stop because I freeze in that amount. I can get this right after he feeds or any other time. LC said that since he is so big my milk supply should be pretty good... I guess she was right : )
When I was pumping, it took about a day to 4 ounces. I would get anywhere from .5 oz- 1 ounce per session. I hate my boobs.
This exactly. I pump multiple times a day just to get enough for DH to give a bottle a day. My boobs suck. I'm so jealous of all of you getting so much milk!

I don't like to pump more than 10 minutes at a time because I get bored, and I pump once or twice a day. I get 1-2 ounces in that time. I don't know how much I'd get if I pumped more, but I don't really care because LO doesn't get a bottle more than once a week.

Re: How many minutes does it take you to pump 4oz?
About 15 minutes.
I add it, but only after all of it is the same temperature.

This is what I do.
Yes, they have to be the same temp.

Not according to my LC and Kellymom.

You and me both! I usually get about 9 oz in 5 minutes (5 on one side and 4 on the other).
I have a low supply (DD gets formula too) and can only get 3 oz total in 20 min. (with 4 hours in between pumping times).
I only mix same temperature breastmilk.
