Window or aisle seat?

I'll be flying home to visit family when LO is 3 months old.  Should I book a seat by the window so I have more privacy BFing, or an aisle seat so it's easier to get in/out of the seat?  Tell me your experiences.

Also, what do I do with DD when I have to use the bathroom?

Re: Window or aisle seat?

  • My mom took me on the plane when I was an infant and ebf and said she loved the window seat way more privacy!

  • Window seat, and ask a flight attendant if s/he can watch LO while you go to the bathroom. Also when I traveled with DS1 they gave me a seat in a row where no one else sat so I could have the extra seating and privacy. I was able to bring the carrier on. That is of course if an empty row is available.

  • I say window for more privacy for sure!

  • I flew w/ LO when he was 6 weeks and I highly recommend the aisle so you have a little more room.  I had an aisle seat on the way down and it was much easier/ more comfortable to bf him than on the way back in a window seat sitting next to someone.  I almost had to lean over LO to feed him because we were so cramped sitting next to the window and someone on the other side.  Good luck!  It sure was an experience!!

  • window - the aisle seat person always has to worry about getting bumped by the cart, etc.
  • Thanks ladies!
