It's been raining here all day so I hope that a bunch of the pollen is being washed away. When I cough I sound like I have smoked for 30 years and I can literally sit here and blow my nose constantly. I tried to use my neti pot earlier, but my sinuses are so swollen that the water wouldn't even go through!

I hear you! Clariton does NOTHING for me... and My OB said not to take Zyrtec. I know some OB's Ok it.. but mine told me try not to.

My allergies turned into a sinus infection and now I have some chest crap going on. I keep coughing up nastiness.

poor DS has such bad allergies. i feel so bad for him b/c he's so congested and his one eye is constantly blood shot. when i called the pedi to ask what he can take she said this season has been the worst season in a long time!

Babes, DD is on Zyrtec right now, and within (no lie) 3 days, it cleared up ! I now give it to her every night before bed. Her Ped recommended doing allergy meds at night so its already in their system for the next day, and doesnt take long to "kick in" plus more allergens are absorbed over night. GL with your little man! Thats how poor DD was when she was just on Clariton. Since we made the switch to Zyrtec she is so much better.

Are you sure they are still just allergies? Mine turned into bronchitis and a sinus infection and I'm just finishing up 10 days of antibiotics. That part is better but my allergies are still bad.

oh darn it! the pedi told me to give him zyrtec but my grocery store and target didn't have any. the only kind they had was for 6yrs and older and i wasn't sure DS could have that since he's only 2.5yrs old.

so i got clariton and it doesn't seem to be helping. and i give him benedryl at night.

i think i'll definitely keep an eye out for zyrtec. thanks!!

I thought mine were just allergies too - allergies that had gotten even worse than they were. I went to see my allergist and learned otherwise. Maybe see your doc just to be sure!!
