My daughter absolutly HATES driving in the car. I've tried to make the timing right..right after a feeding..before a nap..during a nap..after a nap..and she still hates it! She screams bloody murder the entire way to the city ( I live 15 mins out of the city) and does not stop untill she is out of the car. Shes fine sitting in the carseat at the grocery store etc..so I know it's not the car seat, it's the dang car she hates..I think I'm doomed to having to stay at home and not leaving with them for another couple months:( Even my son has started to scream at her and say "That's enough crying Myla..mommy's getting mad". My poor lil girl:( Hopefully she gets use to it soon...I miss getting out in daylight hours!
Anyone else's Lo like this?
Re: vent about driving with baby
And just to clarify before I'm flamed..I don't leave teh house moer then once a week...cause I don't want her to cry in teh car wherever we go..I'm not that mean of a mommy~
My two angels
This is how DS is. You stop the car and all hell breaks loose. I've been known to make turns at red lights to keep him quiet...
I can't put her in the middle, cause my son is still in a carseat also..no room for her in teh middle. Damn..maybe that would be my answer!!
Lol..I call all the side streets in my town "mommy routes" cause I am always turning left to avoid lights. Or if I see the light is turning yellow I slow down soo far behind so I can slowly pump my gas and brakes to get to the light when it turns green and avoid stopping..oh the crazy things we do as moms:)
yep I have a sunshade. She still is upset, I have even drove at night with her and she still hates it. Oh boy..she will probably be the baby who cries untill we forward face her at 1 year...better go buy some good walking shoes:)
I don't have this problem myself, but I got a new mommy gift that might help. A friend sewed together a whole bunch of really interesting fabrics in a book like way. It's sewn at the top and all the fabrics hang down. She said it's for the car, you put it in the baby's line of sight and they look at it and it distracts them, then when the baby starts crying again you just reach back and flip it to the next "page". I never tried it because our baby loves the car, but my friend has 3 kids and swears by it.
