1)They are here ALL the time. Seriously...7 of the 11 weekends since he was born. Thankfully they stay in a hotel.
2)All they want to do is stare at him and not help. I was in the kitchen after lunch, washing bottles and MIL comes in and dumps food on the counter then runs back to the den. I finished and came in to find her and FIL "helping" DH feed DS. All 3 of them basically in James' face.
I hope he spits up his stinky, staining formula all over them.
ugh.
Re: IL vent
This is really bad and flame me if you want, but sometimes I'll over feed DS when the IL's are here then give him to them and laugh in my head when he spits up all over them.
You are my hero. BTW, FIL tried to burp DS by patting him on the head.
It's amazing that your hubby survived with those parenting skills! LOL
So here's my vent, MIL complains she doesn't see DH enough (they are at least once a week) so DH calls this morning and asks if they want to come over today because we would rather deal with them today over tomorrow. She responds that mid morning tomorrow would work out best for their schedule. Fine with me but DS naps mid morning and I'm not waking him up.
Ugh. This sounds like my lovely, 2 week straight stint with both my mother (and annoying little brother, who I told her I did not want to come), and my ILs. Except they stayed here. For two weeks straight. My MIL would sit in a room, staring at Liam, not even making any face other than solemn, until his diaper would start REALLY reeking (around hour 3), where she would toss him to me, tell him, "Go ahead, hang with the giant boob for a while" and would pace outside my bedroom door until I was done. I kept it locked, and would keep him with me for a few hours, or else I would never hold my son.
Once, I gave him to her while he was due to have a poo diaper (I know my son pretty well!) and took DH out to pick out paint, and stop by Lowes' for a few things. She STILL didn't change him, and DH reamed her out. They will never, ever, EVER watch my child, nor will they stay at our house again.
haha omg im laughing so hard! im kinda glad my IL live 3000 mi away JUST for this reason!
OMG my ILs do the exact same thing. . it drives me nuts
