AW: Yea for bargains!

DH and I have been trying to set up the nursery with safe but budget-friendly furniture. We'd rather invest in long-term furniture when the baby is a few years older, and just don't see the point in making sure everything's new and matching. Got our crib a few weeks ago from a good friend for $50; the dresser is free from DH's parent's house, DH is renovating my childhood toy chest, and today we got the changing table for only $50! So all we need is the comfy chair, which will probably be the most expensive item :) New carpeting goes in next week, and we're feeling so good about getting so much ready :)

    I know the feeling! I love going to once upon a child or cruising craigslist for a good bargain. Sometimes you really have to look around for something that is good quality but the effort always pays off. Example: went to once upon a child yesterday and got a brand new in the bag boppy for 8.50! they retail starting at $30, and even used ones on craigslist are $15! makes you feel good ;-)

    Those are some good bargains!! DH and I feel the same. We're not spending a ton of money on furniture until LO is older. The crib is from my SIL. The dresser is an extra one we already have in the house. We may decide to buy a glidder but we're hoping to find it used but in good condition.

    Those are some good savings. DH and I feel the same way. We are not some spending a ton of money on baby furniture. Baby will be getting a big kids bedroom suite when the time comes.

    So ya'll inspired me to find some bargains. It took about 5 minutes i just found a crib and drawer set for $250! The crib converts to a toddler bed too! i'm pretty excited since the cribs we were originally looking at start at $250! i'm really psyched about this!! :)

    we found a nice Dutailier glider with an ottoman on Craigslist! got it for about 1/4 of retail price.
