Anyone ever try IntelliGender?

So i read somewhere on here that this preggo chick did this IntelliGender test to determine the sex of her baby so i googled it and it says its 80% accurate done at home and it was in fact accurate for her. So for fun, i went out and bought one and i'm taking it in the morning. I'm not going to rely on it at all and like paint the nursery blue/pink yet, i just want to see if when i get my sonogram in 5 weeks if it was right. Has anyone ever done this test and was it accurate for you? I'll post tomorrow what it says :)

Re: Anyone ever try IntelliGender?

  • So, I am crazy impatient and my DH and I thought-- what the heck!  Then, I bought it and read that if you have PCOS you will always get a boy result.  I took it and it was like 10,000% boy.  So, we will see soon enough.  I still swear I am having a girl.

  • I was thinking about using it but it's like $30. Also it's not very accurate  and if I was gonna spend the cash I would have rather done 3d sono. Just my thoughts on it but good luck.
  • Yeah... that 80% accurate thing is from the company that makes them.

    They're useless.

We sell them where I work and every time someone is looking at them, I talk them down.  It's dumb. Don't do it.

Don't waste your money. Seriously.  Just be patient. You'll learn LO's gender eventually. Smile

  • imagerochella:
In reality, it's about 50% accurate.  How about you give me $30 and I'll tell you with 50% accuracy what you are having?

I'll do it for $20! Stick out tongue

  • I took that one and another one that's online...both were wrong. Don't bother.
  • Too late I already bought it and did it this morning. Big Smile It said boy so we'll see in May if thats true. This was purely for fun- my chineese calander said boy too, should be interesting. I've felt from the beginning that its a girl.
  • Since we already know ours is a girl, I think it would be fun to see if the Intelligender test agreed. But we'll probably save the $30 for diapers or baby clothes or something actually useful. :)
  • It was 100% incorrect. And if are really not going to take it seriously than I would def. take it. I bought it for fun, and than when I got the results that it was another boy, I became not so much fun to deal with.
  • I can think of better ways to waste that money.  If you want to do a gender test, why not do the Drano test or the Chinese gender chart.  Or better yet, just wait for your u/s.

  • I took it for fun, I really don't care if I "wasted" 30 bucks--I had it to spend. So, it said boy, and our u/s confirmed boy. It was neat to have that info and see if the u/s was right or not.

  • I'm going to hand out boxes of pH strips, since that's all it tests.  Eat acidic foods and you can change the outcome.  oooooo... magic.

  • I did it both times with DS and now with this baby (girl) both were right, but we did it purely in fun because we were bored one day... Chinese gender chart was wrong both times ... We didnt run out and buy pink or blue because of it. Both times I knew what the baby was from early on so it wasnt really a "surprise" for me when we did our US Id say go with your intuition not intelligender :D
