Since 6a LO has only slept for 90 minutes total today and it's 7p now. I have been trying to get her to nap all day and she keeps waking up as soon as I put her in her crib or take her out of my arms. I'm losing my mind, I needed a nap too
In an hour I'm going to start trying to put her down but I fear she's going to keep fighting me as she has been doing all day. Please give me tips to keep her asleep if she does.
Re: Help, LO keeps waking up when I put her down!
My LO has done this the last three days....very annoying as I like to get things done during the day while you sleep LO!!! Luckily at night he still slept his usual 4 hours 3 hours 3 hours so hopefully this will be the case for you to!!
Good Luck!!
Do you swaddle? When DS is like this I swaddle him awake/drowsy, whatever he is, put him against me on my shoulder, pat his back like I am burping him, and walk around my house. Sometimes I sing. The movement and sounds keep him calm, he falls asleep, and when I am sure he's out I lay him down. This way he is already swaddled and can't throw his arms and legs around, waking himself up. When I lay him down I turn on his seahorse and pretty much bolt out of the room. Within two minutes he is usually fast asleep. Don't know if this fits your situation but it works for me sometimes! GL!
I dont know if this will help... but let me first begin by saying we swaddle DS...
I will put him down, and keep my hand on his chest for a few seconds when I set him down in the bassinet. Sometimes he will wake up and then fall back asleep fine.. other times he'll start fussing.. if he does, I pick him up, rock him for a couple minutes until he starts dozing again, and then try putting him down again. Most of the time it only takes me 2 tries, but every kid is different.
Here are some tricks .. . . not sure if they will work. But I've had two kids - one that doesn't like sleep and one that does.
Swaddle
white noise - go get the homedisc machine at BB&B -only $15
Warm the crib mattress - w/ a heating pad - remove the pad before you lay down little one - so when she goes from you (warm) to the crib (warm) the crib will gradually get cooler.
Make sure she's totally asleep - lift an arm, it should fall.
Feed her to sleep if you have to - do what you have to do
Is she teething?
She is probably over tired at this point - even try going for a car ride (I remember when I was little my neighbors did this every night for their kid).
Good Luck!
Do you swaddle? Try the escape proof swaddle, it was a miracle worker for us.

LO finally passed out out of pure exhaustion. I swaddle her everytime or she flails herself away. I play white noise from my phone, but today nothing kept her asleep, not even the swing which is a shocker. I was at my wits end.
I hope tomorrow is better because this was not fun at all.
