  • I think you are overpacking a bit. I did not use a razor or shaving cream. And you really don't need to take shampoo, soap or toothpaste. They give you all of that. And I would use their mesh panties. Those things were wonderful. I brought home a ton of those! I did take 3 extra pillows and took old pillow cases that I didn't care about. An eye mask was helpful because the hospital room was never dark. Oh and if you want the nurses to take a print of LO's feet take that stuff too.

  • I agree that you are overpacking. I wore hospital gown and used those mesh panties - didn't want blood on my clothes and didn't want a bunch of laundry when I got home. I basically only needed clothes to wear home for me and baby. I did bring my own toiletries - including razor - that first shower after delivery was heavenly :) GL!

  • Hmm, I dont think u are overpacking. You need a going home outfit but probably wont use your underwear. I think it sounds good. Cell charger?
  • I think everything sounds good-except the book lol.  I thought I would do plenty of reading...haha not the case!  See ya over here soon!

  • I would skip the razor and shaving cream.  It was all I could do to get up and go to the bathroom by myself until the day I went home.  Also skip underwear.  You won't want to be wearing anything except the stuff they provide until the day you leave.  Even then you won't want to wear your real underwear!  But, my motto was "better to bring and it and not need it than need it and not have it".  Just make sure you have room in a bag to stash the freebies from the hospital!  GL, can't wait to have you over here!

Similar to everyone else... I would skip the undies, and some of the clothes. You really only need a going-home outfit for yourself. I was SURE I would not want to wear the hospital gown, I mean totally certain, and actually I could not even have imagined laboring in pants of any kind. Then once you're in the gown you don't really feel like wearing clothes for a while. But I did like having a bathrobe.

I also brought a book and I tried, unsuccessfully, to read for like 2 min. Even when you have a little downtime, you just don't really want to do anything but stare at your baby and talk to your H.
