It has been *wonderful* as far as reducing DS's spitting up (from 15+ times a day to maybe 1!) - but we're having a horrible time with clogged nipples. I read online that it's thicker and grainier, so I guess this makes sense, but I don't know what to do.
We've tried two different kinds of bottles and nipples, we've switched nipples after mixing the formula, we've mixed in one bottle and then transfered to another. . .honestly! But every time it clogs several times during a feeding, DS gets frustrated, and gives up.
Anyone else deal with this? Any tips or tricks?
Re: Anyone use Similac Sensitive RS (for spit up)?
Yep; I use the same formula... I got the Dr Browns' formula pitcher mixer and it solved this issue! :-)
We use it to supplement. If I pre-mix and shake it up (but don't use it for hours) it mixes well. I use Medela medium flow.
If I mix and swirl, it doesn't mix well and it clogs : (
