Blood Pressure...

So yesterday at my weekly appointment, my BP was pretty high.. This is the first time in my pregnancy that it has ever been high.. Well, I was always told by my Dr. that they take BP very seriously because of all the risks etc... Well, long story short my Dr. didn't seem to be worried at all, in fact all she said was,"Your blood pressure is very high, which is so unlike you..." then she said, "I will see you next Thursday, feel free to call if you need anything!" and that was it! Needless to say Im a little confused! I have a horrible headache that I can't seem to get rid of and am curious if this has anything to do with the bp? Is this normal, should I be concerned or am I just being a crazy pregnant woman? :)

    Not trying to scare you, but a headache in conjunction with elevated blood pressure could be a sign of pre-eclampsia. I would honestly not be comfortable waiting until next week to discuss with her again.

    this!.. I had the same problem last appt. and my doctor sent me to do the urine test to see if I have protein in my urine.. if I do.. he wants to induce me next week

    I'm glad you've decided to call, and please post a F/U, I'm interested to hear what they have to say. Headaches are definitely associated with pre-E when you have high BP.
