anyone with pre-term labor?

I am almost 33 weeks and 2-3 cm dilated.  I am on bedrest until 36 weeks. 

My question-If you are dilated, does your doctor keep giving you an internal to check to see if you are dilated more?  I have been checked 3 times already.   They said if I get to a 4 I have to go back in to the hospital.

    Are you actually having contractions, or are you just dilated?

    I would imagine that Yes, they would keep checking you. In your case you'd want to know so they can do what they can to stop it.

    I was having contraction, but the doctor gave my meds to stop them when I was in the hospital.  I haven't had any more.

    PTL started at 25 weeks for me and I was only at a fingertip. My cervix was thinning and shortening, but since Procardia has been helping with the contractions so much they haven't checked me since 27 weeks. (I'm on bed rest and Procardia until 36/37 weeks.) I know they don't wanna check too much because it irritates the cervix and could make things worse. GL and hope your LO waits a little longer!
