How can I support a NICU family friend

My friend had her twins at 32 weeks yesterday, and they are both doing well but in NICU for a while.

What types of things should I do to help out. I was thinking of making some frozen caseroles type things for her home but i would love to hear from you proud mommies what things you liked?

    One thing that really helped while we were traveling to and from the nicu was restaurant giftcards and gas cards. Another thing that took a MAJOR load off our minds last summer was someone came to our home and cut our grass for us. You're so sweet to be thinking of your friend right now!

    I think the food is a great idea! I had a friend make us several frozen meals and she brought along all the sides and fixings as well. It was so nice and helpful.  Breakfast items would be nice too so you could grab something fast on your way out the door. Offers to help with child care (if she has other LO's), housework and laundry are nice too.

    i think the frozen food and stuff is really great... i know we were going back and forth from the hospital all the time and there wasn't really time to cook after dh got home before we left to go to the nicu for a visit! gift cards are also great!

    A cleaning person!  Our house is a disaster area and all I want is to have someone come in and clean again.  People from my work donated money to us when I was on bed rest for 3 weeks and we had someone come in and clean right after I got home and it was the best thing ever!

    that is the best tip EVER! didn't even think of hiring someone to come in! *adds that to her list on the blog*
