Madeline Elizabeth has a Birthday!

Since my LO is enormous we are inducing her at "39 weeks". I put that in quotes because I've been telling my doctor this whole time that her due date is 5/6 (I even set my ticker up for 5/6), but she's been going by one wonky u/s done at 12 weeks that said 5/12. Looks like her birthday is going to be 5/6 after all!

At our appointment this morning Maddie's still growing very rapidly and my fundal height is already 40 weeks! Unless there is some sort of scheduling conflict with the hospital we'll be going in the evening of 5/5 for cervadil (my cervix was likened to Fort Knox, lol!) and we'll start pitocin the morning of 5/6. I'm so excited to meet her, plus I only have 7.5 working days left This next week and a half is going to be so rough, good thing I have DH's 30th birthday next Friday to keep me occupied!

So excited for you!

You may want to walk a lot, bounce on a yoga ball and *ahem*.. partake in some bedroom activities to try to spur your cervix to ripen a little on its own before being induced. Hopefully the cervadil will work its magic too!
