ARGH!!!!  DD was in the hospital with pneuomonia the begining of March & she was "offically" diagnosed with asthma at the same time.  Earlier this week, she started wheezing & just sounding bad, so we started up the neb machine again, which she began to fight with a vegnence.  We were able to get a script for albuterol syrup, but she still went in yesterday.  We came out with a script for predisone (again...for like the 283895023 time) & then Singular chewables (which she doesn't like to do at all).  The doctor said that next time this happens, it will be time for the allergy tests.  Poor DD.

Re: Stupid asthma/allergies
We use an inhaler for DS with a mask & spacer and have been doing so since about 16 months old. He's never used a neb machine.
Maybe ask your pedi about that. We use the spacer & mask to give both his daily flovent and when needed the Albuterol. It was hard at first, but he's used to it now and is really good. We sing a song while we wait for him to take his 5-6 breaths.
