Still drinking 1 cup a day, but with sugar instead of artificial sweetner. I do give it up when BFing and that super sucks, but it's better than a wide awake baby all day I guess.
I'll have my usual 1 cup of coffee in the morning. If I drink coffee in the morning, I'll try to make that the only caffeine I get. But I have no coffee, then I'll grab a Diet Coke.
My answer - I cut back, but not out completely. I only have 1 cup of coffee in the morning. I cut out soda months ago to prepare for this and overall health reasons.
I started drinking half-caf a few months ago so I'll probably alternate between that and decaf. I'm not an every day coffee drinker anway, so the caffeine intake is pretty minimal.
I cut it out completely when pg for DS. This time though I'm having one a day because I need to get up with DS at the crack of dawn lately. Why won't he sleep in?!

1 travel mug in the morning (at 5am) on the way to the gym, then water the rest of the day. I will have an occasional sweet tea, but trying to avoid any sodas with HFCS (high fructose corn syrup).
I do miss my 1 or 2 alcoholic beverages on the weekend though.
I still drank my 2 cups (8oz) a day until m/s kicked in, then all of the sudden it didnt smell good....so havent had any in a week! But feel good, no headaches, no side effects from not having it. I sure do miss it and once m/s is gone, I will go back to drinking probably one cup a day!

I was having coffee every morning, couldn't go without. Then I got my BFP and I don't even want it anymore! It made me naseaus one day and that was it. Weird right? *Now I say all this, but today I got regular coffee for the first time in ages. Timely right? LOL. But it's just sooo good with my bagel w/egg and cheese!

I was dying for a pop yesterday, that was the first time I've cracked so far. We'll see how long this can last. I never used to drink water, but now, I can drink it no problem. Weird!
Switched to half-caff a while ago, which was good. I had been drinking two cups daily before my BFP, but now I usually only drink one, except weekends when I splurge and drink two. (I figure two half-caff equals on cup regular, so I'm ok).
I don't really drink a lot of soda or eat a lot of chocolate, so I'm comfortable with my current intake.
I cut it out completely, because of the associated increased m/c risk. Right after I got my BFP I googled caffeine in first tri because we were headed to a diner for breakfast. This is what I found:
They found that women who consumed 200 milligrams or more of caffeine
daily ? the equivalent of two or more cups of coffee or five 12-ounce
cans of soda ? had twice the risk for miscarriage. Moreover, the study
found that even those women who consumed less than 200 milligrams of
caffeine daily had about 40 percent increased risk for miscarriage.
I'm not addicted, but I drink tea like it is my job. I think it is mostly the ritual of it. Anyway both times I've been pg I haven't wanted it so it has been an easy transition.
I have pretty much cut caffeine out completely with the exception of a very occasional diet coke. For example, our work hosted a happy hour on Wednesday (which does not happen very often), and I had 2 diet cokes. Otherwise, I have had a hard time giving up pop all together, so I've been sticking to sprite zero and caffeine free diet coke (which actually isn't too bad).

I've cut back, but I still drink coffee, tea and coke. Instead of my morning cup of coffee at home, I do some sort of tea. At work, I still do my usual 1 weak cup of coffee (with real sugar instead of sweet n' low). The rest of the day, I drink decaf tea and occasionally a coke. I love iced coffee and have been trying it with decaf....it's not so bad. I know decaf still has caffeine, but it's an amount I'm ok with.

That. I completely stopped when I got my BFP knowing about this, (also it just didn't sound good) but after over a week I decided it would be ok to go through starbucks and get a coffee. (No extra shots like I used to get, also a grande instead of tall) I didn't finish it all, but by the end of the afternoon I was spotting. It could be that it was a coincidence, but I still FELT like it was my fault.

Re: Caffeine Poll (clicky)
I never drink anything caffeinated anyway so it was an easy transition!

Pretty much cut it out - I will have weird cravings for a regular coke now and then - I am usually strictly diet coke!
I was super tired this morning so I had a half caff cup of coffee but I no longer have the taste for it!
me too!

I've never been a coffee drinker. So that part was easy.
However I used to drink a diet soda a day, but I've cut back to maybe 2x a week. Usually on the weekends, and it's regular soda now, no diet.
