FFFC

I am nervous about being by myself with Leighton from now til Monday...my DH has always been around to help me out when i needed it and he's out of town and I am afraid I won't do so great on my own..

Re: FFFC

  • Here's my confession:

I hate pumping.  It takes up time, is kinda messy and is just plain not fun.  I love that DD gets my BM while I am at work, but I still hate pumping.

  • My husband is a firefighter and he works 24 hour shifts. It's rotating schedule and so he normally works at least one 24 hour shift every weekend. It's a long day with Tegan on those days (mainly cause I get bored without an adult to talk to), but we manage to make it through.

I've actually started to look forward to those days because I get to spend a lot of time with Tegan without having to share and when she does nap, I get time to myself. Enjoy your alone time with Leighton! You will be just fine!!

    Aww, thanks!

  • MY FFFC:

DH hurt his back and has been sleeping on the floor while it heals. I am secretly loving having the whole bed to myself. I don't want DH in pain but I am not really in a rush to give up my starfish sleeping position just yet...sorry DH Embarrassed

Thanks Abi!  You are probably right, it will be nice to have some quality alone time with her...we don't get that very often

This. Enjoy your time with her and enjoy your YOU time, too! I'm sure you'll do great. :-)

  • Thanks everyone!  I know you are all right, I guess I just wanted to reassurance!!  Hope everyone has a fabulous friday!
  • 1.  I think it's likely that I'm going nuts, just like my mom, who I made it my life's mission to never be like.  But I'm confused about whether I'm being crazy or my feelings are justified.

    2.  I HATE when people clog the boards on Friday with their individual FFFC posts.  1-3 posts for the entire day should suffice.

  • here's mine.

I always take coffee from the freshest pot in the break room. Not only do I want the newer coffee, but I am seriously horrible at making coffee (should be easy, but I just can't get it right) and don't want to make a bad pot of coffee for the entire office!

DS falls sleeps with a loose blanket in his crib (chews on it as he's drifting to sleep), although I do check on him frequently as he's drifting to sleep because he LOOOVES to have it right next to or even over his face. Then I take it out once he drifts to sleep.

Side note: sometimes DS is so funny with the blanket. Sometimes I'll go to check on him and it'll be over his face to I'll pull it down and when I do he has this big grin on his face and starts giggling, like he's been waiting for to come in and take it off his face to play peek-a-boo. I always have to laugh. Tell me how I'm supposed to put him to sleep after that!!! Big Smile

  • DH has been gone since Wed am and it's just been me and the boy.  You'll do fine.

I'll add on to your confession, though, to say that I really wanted DS to sleep in the bed with me while he was gone but I chickened out.

I was thinking the same thing, but I hadn't decided if I was going to do it yet or not...I really don't want to start that habit just because he is gone, you know?

  • My FFFC: Tuesday night was my turn to do the late night feeding. I got up at 12:30am to let the dog out...4:30am because I figured LO would be waking up soon...he didn't, so I went back to sleep. 6:00am rolls around and I go to high five DH as he walks back into the bedroom cause LO slept through the night for the first time. DH looks at me and said the monitor in his room was never turned on....Poor little guy probably woke up starving and screaming with no one to answer him....Doh.....Embarrassed
