With a little more than only 4 months before my Sweet Pea turns one, I am going nuts about what to do for her a birthday, I have a couple of ideas on themes but no places to think of. Being at the beginning of Sept, I dread the idea of a Park, hi risk of rain and most defenite tons of heat. My house- out of the question.
Does anyone have any good recommendations? Maybe some place that combines indoor with outdoor..... I live in Hollywood so I would like Broward but Miami works as long as not too south!
Thx!
Re: Where to have a bday- Broward
I Like Jum&Gym in Oakwood plaza.
WHatever you do, do not hold the party at at Park because its going to be waay to hot!

I know a park will be too hot, but what about a water park? Check out the one at C.B. Smith Park

I'm having DD's at a park in Davie called Robbins Park. They have a "lodge"...basically a house, with a huge living room/ktichen area and nice covered terrace around 3 sides of the house, tons of shade (we're gonna have a bounce house outside), a playground, and I think a petting zoo.
I googled "parks in south florida" and found this blog with pictures of the lodge at Robbins Park for a little girl's 1st birthday.... https://blog.josedesigns.com/2009/07/21/chloes-first-birthday-party.aspx

Thanks Girls! I am starting to get excited! Cannot believe I live so close to Oakwood Plaza and never noticed the gym, will check it out and see how I can adapt my ideas.... Not sure if the Waterpark would be private enough, but thanks!
Love the Robbins Park, my ideas for themes are in order of most likely:
Thanks girls!
Jum&Gym is really hard to find. Its in a building right next to the movie theatre. Call ahead so they can explain to you how to get there but they are across from the movie theatre in the same parking lot. What I like about Jum&gym is that they close the whole place for you. I do not like all of the other gym type places because they don't close the establishment for you. They are very flexible. I am thinking on doing DS's birthday there or at the Miami Children's Museum
