Free Saturday with kids

Where do you go for fun and something different??  We've been to parks and the mall.  Not sure I want to tackle the zoo on a Saturday for the first time.  Any cool places out there?  Bounce places?  Gymboree?  Anything that you has open sessions for little ones?

  • I don't know if Fort Worth is too far for you, but here's some ideas there:

I'm not sure what the weather is supposed to be like this Saturday, but what about the Botanical Gardens? (Fort Worth or Grapevine)

There's also the Forest Park Miniature Railroad in Fort Worth that's supposed to be really fun.

There may be comprable (sp?) things in Dallas, I just only know about FW.

  • The boys may be too little to care about this, but my 3 year old nephew LOVES Cabela's in FW (@ 170 & 35W - near the speedway). It's got a little mini aquarium, a waterfall, fish you can feed, and a bunch of fake (or dead, IDK) animals to look at. He LOVES it and could easily spend a couple of hours there without getting bored.
