WDYT? Moms who have facial piercings (ie nose rings, monroe piercing, etc)

i really want a monroe piercing .. but now i'm a mom and it just seems as though it's not the right thing to do but the way i look at it is .. i'm a mom, i'm not DEAD!

if i had it my way, i'd have a monroe piercing and a sleeve (tattoo that is all over one of your arms) but i will refrain from the latter.

I personally see nothing wrong with it. Moms don't have to stop being who they are just because they have kids.

i dont see anything wrong with it...but the only concern I would have would be my dd ripping it out...I would probably wait till she is past the pulling hair, and ripping at anything on my face stage

LOL. You'd have to look at my blog to figure out why this post cracked me up....

My opinion though is that you should get whatever you want and damnn everyone else's opinion. Stick out tongue A piercing certainly doesn't determine who you are as a mother.

That settles it then ladies - I will get a monroe piercing. Hopefully DH will be on board. I had a nose ring whenever we met and he hated it so chances of him being on board with it are slim to none but we'll see how that goes. I may have to save up on my SAHM allowance! Lolsies!

Despite my personal preferences, I would worry DD would want to grab it. I am sure it wouldn't take much effort for DD to pull out a piercing like that. And OWW! She already pulls on my ear piercings and necklaces.

I took out my tongue piercing before i got married just b/c i felt like facial piercings or other piercings besides the ears didn't seem very mature, or grown up. Maybe that's my Unpopular Opinion for today But I was okay letting that piercing go in an effort to make myself feel more mature. Plus I knew I wanted it to be gone by the time I had kids.

I don't know why, but I don't like the facial piercing on Moms. But like I said, i'm not sure why. But my opinion shouldn't carry any weight on what others want to do with their piercings. That's why we have free will! So honey, you do whatever you want to do! And I hope you still like me and don't unfriend me on FB for saying so! lol

ETA: I should say that it's not limited to Moms that I don't like facial piercings, it's facial piercings in general that I'm just not a huge fan of, they're just NMS. So i hope that clarifies a little

Do it! I'm getting my nose pierced in June. My sister turns 18 then and I told her if she waited until she was 18, I would pay for her to get something done and do it with her. She wanted to just do it randomly but I wanted her to be safe so I bribed her. I'm excited about it.

Can I just add that from the few pics I have seen of you on FB and TB I wouldn't have pegged you as someone who'd want a full sleeve tattoo! Not to be stereotyping people with sleeve tattoos but you're such a cute girl and it's not something I would have expected from you to like! Pretty much same with the monroe piercing

I am chalking this down as the "something new" i learned today hehe

(btw I will also add that I think you are one of the most beautiful ppl i know, you have an amazing smile in your eyes. and now that I have just outted you as my new e-crush I will run out of this post..haha)

My nose is peirced and has been for years. I don't know if I'll have it forever but I like it.

DS has snagged it before too, and it hurt. His fingernail just caught the stud and pulled. Ouch!

I want a sleeve really bad, but I am too impatient to go through the whole process. But I do have a microdermal piercing in my hand. DD notices it, but touches it very gently. She also has never pulled at my earrings.

I don't see anything wrong with it. However, I find the monroe totally stupid and ugly. sorry, I judge people when I see them but I still don't see anything wrong with getting a piercing or tattoos after being a mom.

I feel old and out of it b/c I had to look up what a Monroe piercing was. I personally wouldn't do it b/c I'm not into piercings on myself but I believe that you should do things that make you happy. If you want one then you should get one.

I say get it. I've wanted to get a nose stud forever. I couldn't for years because I was a teacher at a Catholic school, then I was pregnant. Now, sadly like you said I have to save my SAHM allowance. I want a new tattoo as well.

I don't see a problem with it.

Though, I think mom's who have their nose pierced with a baby are nuts....or else they have very good babies. Jake would probably rip that thing right out. Ouch!

This but PLEASE don't put a huge, bling diamond in it. That looks like crap on most people who do that IMO. Def watch out for LO grabbing at it too.

monroes are just NMS but I see nothing wrong with a piercing or tattoo if you otherwise present yourself as a respectible responsible adult. It's the pierced tattooed white trash looking people that I give the side eye to.

I had 6 piercings (not including my ears) when I got KU. I took them ALL out! It made me SO sad (not so much while I was pg), but after I had DS, I missed my piercings like crazy! The only one I put back in was my tongue ring. Everything else is grown up or would be too easy for DS to grab! Not having them makes me sad sometimes! I've had them from 3-7 years.

if you want one you should get one. just watch out for LO grabbing it. when i was younger i had an eyebrow piercing and my nephew couldn't wait to get his hands on it. but he learned quickly to be gentle with it. he called it my "boo-boo".

i have a 1/4 sleeve tattoo on my right arm, and wish i could get a full sleeve. i work in a conservative industry, so unless i want to wear longs sleeves all the time, i can't get the sleeve. but i love it, and cant' wait to get more. DD loves it too, she now notices it and stares at it and touches it.
