My mom is grandma. DH's dad and wife are grandma and grandpa.
I thought DH's mom and husband were grammy and grampy, but they were just visiting last week, and his mom kept calling herself 'Mimi"?!?! I don't get it.
TTC #1 since 6/08. Cycle #6 - BFP 12/22/08, EDD 9/3/09, DD 8/14/09 at 37w1d
DH's parents want to be Nana and Papa. My parents are Grammy and Gaga (what my nephew calls my dad). I figure we'll just let Grace call them whatever she wants. I think my dad secretly likes it that my nephew gave him a name.
Grandma for both. If I am talking about my mom, I will be referring her as Mama (since my mom refers to her mom as Mama and I want to do the same.)
I don't ever talk about my dad because we don't see each (live in different states.) But if we ever see each other, I will just be referring to him as Grandpa. The same goes for DH's dad.
My MIL has a boyfriend, but we just refer to him by his name. I would like to refer to him as Grandpa but I don't know if he would be comfortable with that or not. I have asked MIL but she says she doesn't know. I don't understand why she doesn't ask him and I just feel weird asking him about it.
Oh boy....my parents are grandma and grandpa. However, my mil insists on having a "unique" title - so lo is supposed to call her "gamma" and dh's father "bumpa." Why, why, why......I think it is ridiculous, and I'm not into talking baby talk with something like this.
It is seriously so confusing to ME. I just refer to them all as grandma (first name), grandpa (first name). Not sure how this will end. Sigh....

My parent's are nana and papa. Papa was already decided because my stepbrother's kids call him that. Stepbrother's kids call my mom grammy and she hates that, so she chose nana when I was pregnant. DD can actually say nana and papa too (they watch her daily so they practice) but doesn't say it to them.
My parents go by Nana and Papa, they picked and my inlaws go by Papaw and Mamaw (my neices came up with those). I always called my grandparents grandma and grandpa but I just let the grandparents pick it out.
My dad and stepmom are PawPaw and Nanny, my mom is GiGi, my grandparents (grandma and husband, and my grandpa) are Mamaw, Pop, and Papaw, DH's parents are Mamaw and Papaw, and his grandmother is Mamaw Bea (her name is Beatrice)
My parents are just Grandma and Grandpa, and DH's parents are Nnenne and Nnanna, the Igbo (Nigerian) words for Grandma and Grandpa, since DH is from Nigeria.
