Anyone get Mirena taken out?

I have had Mirena for just under 2 years and I am thinking of getting it removed.

Does it hurt? Would I need to take the day off or just like a normal pap kind of uncomfortable?

I had the paraguard IUD taken out over a year ago and it was just like a pap, kind of uncomfortable...some spotting for a day or two...but I would have been fine to go back to work afterwards...

Just a little uncomfortable. Much less painful than getting it inserted bc I had painful cramps. I think you can go back to work. Just take some Tylenol- but you probably won't even need that.

I had mine taken out and it was no problem at all. I was really surprised at how easy it was!

I'm quite jealous of everyone saying how easy it was for them. I think I was the exception because mine hurt like heck. She had to cut it out because the string had gotten wrapped around it and she couldn't just pull it out. She said that it's rare though, so like I said I was probably the exception.
