How much would you pay a 14 yo to babysit?

Our neighbor girl is the babysitter of the neighborhood and when Ella is older (probably around 2) I'd love to have her come and babysit for us every once in a while! I'd love to have her do it now, but don't feel comfortable leaving my 3 month old with a teenager! I know when I was that age I got paid about 4 dollars an hour, but I'm not sure what kids are being paid now... any idea?

    In 2 years with inflation you will probably pay $15/hr  :)

    I would say $10-$15/hour.  Not sure how it will be in 2 years.  Right now I would pay her $10/hour.

    For a 14 year old?  I would say 6-7 an hour.  I guess that is minimum wage around here, so I wouldn't expect that a young teenage would expect to be paid more than that unless they were helping out with dishes and what not while LO was sleeping.

    Yep! It's real! In Northern Washington there are tulip fields that are blooming right now! They are so beautiful and so fun to take pictures at! I've lived in Washington all my life and this was the first year I went and I will probably go back every year now!

    Yup...we love the Tulip festival too.  I didn't make it this year though...but it's going to be super cute next year!
