7 mos and pasta

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
Are you letting your LOs pick up the pasta or are you spoon feeding it to them? DD hasn't yet mastered the pincer grasp so I was just wondering how people served it.

    I do both.  Most of the time I let him pick it up.

    we do pastina so I spoon feed her, maybe when we try pasta I'll let her pick it up

    I let DD pick stuff up...she is getting better with it, and the more i allow her to do for herlself, the more practice she gets.  I figure, if most of it ends up on her lap, she really isnt missing out on much nutrition since she still gets a bottle with her meals...

    Before DD nailed the pincer grasp I cut up spaghetti noodles really small and spoon fed it to her.  She loved it!  Now I cook pasta that she can pick up.
