what a way to start vacation

well technically i had yesterday off of work too, but we leave today btw 2-3ish for the airport. so this morning i had to run to target and to the mall to return a pair of leggings that i didn't like.

so i get to the mall 10 minutes before opening. i didn't realize this and didn't want to stand waiting at the door. so i go back to my car to wait it out. turn the car on (not start it, but just power so that i can listen to my music) and wait. doors open so i head in to the mall.

return my purchase. head back out. reach for my keys. ::facepalm:: they're in the ignition of my locked car.

better yet...i did have DH's keys in my pocket. I had grabbed his keys as well on the way out since i had given my sister my apartment keys (she's watching our kitties while we're gone). so i try to call DH to figure out what to do but he's asleep and not answering. though he couldn't come get me anyway...since i have his keys!

so i call my grandma who comes to get me, brings me home, i get DH and we head back to the mall and wait for an hour for their security/cop guy to come unlock my car.

sighs...silly Becca!! what a way to start it off! now i've got a few hours til it's time to go and i'm hanging with you girls!

Oh Man. that sounds tiring, and completely like something I would do. Hope the vaca only gets better from here!

Ugh...not a fun start at all! But I have no doubt that it'll only get better. I mean come on, you'll be at Disneyworld! (I'm so jealous! hehe)

Just promise me you won't do what I did when you're leaving. I turned on one of the interior lights in the car to find something before getting out of the car. We were parked under a light so I didn't notice as I got out of the car that the light was still on. We came home to a dead car battery.
