XP: Weight loss

Okay, so I'm getting frustrated Sad  After I had DS, I hovered at one weight until he was about 9 months old.  After hitting an all time low, I lost 35 pounds.  It took me almost a whole year, and I felt great at the weight I was at.  Well, I've gradually gained about 8 or 9 pounds of it back, and I am having trouble losing it again.  Girl scout cookie season and Easter candy didn't help, and that's totally my fault Angry

My problem is that I'll do really well, then get on the scale and see no difference, and sabotage myself.  I eat pretty well, with the exception of sneaking some chocolate in the evenings, and I walk/run 4 to 5 days a week, and do weights (although not as often as I should).

Anyone have any diet or exercise tricks that have REALLY helped them kickstart weight loss?  I'm very carb-sensitive, so I try to watch how much pasta I eat, but I am a pasta lover to the core.  Thanks for any advice you have - I'd really like to be in the best possible shape when I get PG again so it's easier to stay relatively healthy this time around!

  • Check out www.thegameondiet.com. I was stuck and my friend told me about this.  It is really fun and since it is competitive it helped me get my willpower in check.  I too would be a sucker for chocolate and pasta and everything I shouldn't be eating that much of.  I have been on it for 2 weeks and have already lost 7 pounds.  It has also taught me a lot about myself and where I use to pick up all these extra calories without realizing it.  The book is great, written by a writer from Grey's Anatomy.  AFter reading the food chapter I was ready to give up, but I am so glad I didn't.  This is the healthiest I have eaten my entire life and not only have I lost weight, but I feel great.
